Teachers, to become effective leaders, should have a positive attitude toward life, their work, and every task assigned to them. They should have the inertia to move forward toward meeting their goals. They lead by attracting people to their vision and goals, and by setting good examples for those they are leading.
Effective leaders are self – motivated as their love, enthusiasm, desire, passion and faith keep them motivated. Others benefit from these leaders as they freely share their knowledge, talents and dreams with others.
Effective leaders are good communicators, able to make people understand their views while listening to the views of others. They are open-minded and non-judgmental; tactful while remaining principled. They accept different views but not necessarily agree to them at once. Instead, they first evaluate any given situation with patience and fairness.
Effective teachers are good at relationships. They get along with their colleagues and oher people. They are responsive, humble and respectful of others.
Effective leaders remain focused. They are determined to move forward, even though they encounter challenges, obstacles and even failures on the road towards achieving their tasks.
